There are always trends coming and going in home design and decor and honestly, some trends stick around longer, last for a short period of time, and some go away and then make a comeback - like every 20 years...What trends can you think of in home design and decor that have come and gone? 3 trends that I have found recently are:
-Textured Walls: Textured walls are becoming popular as homeowners seek to add dimension and interest to their spaces. This trend can be achieved with textured paint finishes, wallpaper, or wall panels like shiplap or wainscoting. Textured walls can create a focal point in a room and provide a tactile element that enhances the overall design.
-Maximalism: Maximalism is making a comeback with bold colors, patterns, and textures layers to create a visually rich environment. Unlike minimalism, which focuses on simplicity, maximalism encourages personalization and creativity. Consider mixing vintage and modern pieces, using vibrant wallpapers, and displaying a collection of art or decor items to add personality and depth to a space.
-Curved Furniture: Curved and rounded furniture pieces are tending as they add a sense of softness and comfort to a room. Look for sofas, chairs, and tables with gentle curves that create a more inviting and cozy atmosphere. These pieces can help balance the sharp lines often found in contemporary design and add a touch of elegance and fluidity to any space.
